Nails of the Day 9/12/20-9/19/20

Hi everyone! I'm starting a series where I collect pictures of and review all the nail polish I wear each week(ish). My goal is to use more of my collection, have reference photos to go back to, and give some thoughts about the polish on the way. I plan to review new aquisitions as they come, but these posts will be from wearing the archives of my collection, so to speak.

Nail Polish: Blood Mist, MTK Designs And our first nail polish is this thermal from MTK! Man, I love this so much. Red always feels powerful, but this blood-red crimson-to-maroon just feels so bada**, I love it. This is three coats and it painted like a dream.

Nail Polish: Midnight Cowboy, Cirque Colors; Sweet and Shine, Penelope Luz This was my favorite manicure of the week; I couldn't stop looking at my nails. The idea of a magnetic top coat is so cool to me, and it popped pretty well for only being one coat. The silver gives kind of a milky-way effect which I'm very into. Cirque cremes are always lovely to paint with even with the thin round brush, and Midnight Cowboy lived up to my expectations in two easy coats. I have a hunch that if you used a paddle brush you could sacrifice a little bit of deepness to get away with one. Sweet and Shine has a nice formula, thick enough to stay put but not difficult to work with. The magnetic spread a bit, but I was impressed that it showed with one coat, though more coats would probably be required to show up on a lighter color.

Nail Polish: Subject Delta, Bee's Knees Lacquer The magnetic effect on this is super stunning, and I love how the flakes pop when it's magnetized. I dig the eerie vibe, too. Unmagnetized it's a beautiful multichrome fall polish, but I admit I like it more magnetized for just how much the effect stands out. This polish painted easily, two coats and done.

Nail Polish: Cosmic Love, Pahlish I stand by my description of this as an ocean-galaxy polish. Blue is my favorite color and I'm a sucker for both ocean and galaxy polishes, so this polish is *chef's kiss*, could only be better if it was blurple. The flakie mix in this is gorgeous and it has a lot of depth. I somehow didn't realize until now that I wore two deep blues, but I have no regrets. The flakies laid down nicely and this was two coats to perfection.

And there's my first week of NOTD! Coming up soon: reviews of my August HHC pickups and the new Great Lakes Animal Crossing collection! HHC probably mid-week, GLL over the weekend.
